Abstract
This study aims to review the issues, characteristic trends, and intervention studies on shared book reading strategies for children with language disorders using data from 2000 to the present day. Twenty-four studies were selected and analyzed based on the subjects, methods, and results. The present study¡¯s results indicated that most research on shared book reading has focused on intervention for children with parental participation, which was revealed as a particularly effective technique. Until recently, shared book reading intervention studies through group comparisons with typical developing children and characteristic studies have been active. The shared book reading strategies are suggested as an evidence-based practice with social validity and intervention fidelity in single-subject design studies. The research suggests that a longer intervention period and the joint impact of SLP with parental participation may contribute to improving the implementation of shared book reading interventions.
